Easy to install if you have the tools and know-how. Ours was installed within a steel insulated door which required the cutting and drilling through metal. If the template is used and care taken with cutting and drilling, the install goes quickly.

We've had the door for a couple of months now and it does what it is supposed to do. The flaps opening and closing (and the magnets making contact) are a little loud although I don't have experience with any other doors to compare. They all may be that way for all I know. Seems to be a very good value versus many of the other doors I checked which were much more expensive. I would definitely purchase again.

This is a corker! Love hearing the double clicks as my 2 dogs rush thru. Keeps outdoor temps outdoors! Very sturdy. Took the pups a couple days 2 master the double flaps w space between. Drilling of the two 1/4" locating holes 4 the outer frame install is SUPER CRITICAL. Drill bit MUST B LEVEL and at right angles! On a different and discouraging note...I experienced major problems with the req'd outside wall install kit! Many cretinous, dishonorable people buy these expensive kits then realize u can frame the space between doors w plywood or any stiff mat'l and need only the 9 3/8 bolts so they steal the bolts by substituting the short ones that come w the doors or just tape up the box, ret'n the kit and get their money back. Home depot employees aren't aware of this and put the ruined kit back out there! We went to 3 different HD stores and 14 kits to find a complete kit. Buyer b'ware. Open the wall kit...make sure the 9 3/8" bolts r in there! The kit is super quick n easy 2 use and good quality. I recommend it!

Excellent dog door once installed. Flaps are clear, so it doubles as a large window for the dog. Flaps are heavy, magnets at bottom edge strong, bristles alongside vertical edges seal out wind. Hard to line up screws with holes of exterior dog door piece. Easy for screws to go outside of the threaded slot. Trace template on both sides of door for best alignment and cutting.
