Garmin Dash Cam Tandem│180° Dual-lens Camera│GPS│Interior & Exterior Recording.New condition. Everything included in box, only used for about two days. I didn't even open either of the cables or use either of the sticky buttons that it mounts with, because the ones from my Dash Cam 65 that I wanted to upgrade from are the exact same.
Basically I didn't do enough research before purchasing. I wanted an upgrade for my Garmin Dash Cam 65. While this is a newer camera which offers more utility, it's just not for me.
All of the advertisements show a display screen, so I just assumed that the rear facing camera is tiny and there would be a display screen like all of Garmin's Dash Cams with only front facing cameras. Those pictures are while using the app on your phone. The rear does not have a display screen and everything must be controlled from the app. The app is intuitive and responsive, more so than using the little buttons on the side, but I miss the display screen. I don't like using the app any time I want to see what it is recording.
Also, I thought that "Wi-Fi" meant that I would be able to connect it to my home Wi-Fi network and pull video straight to my computer as long as the camera was running. Upon further research I've found that the "unique Wi-Fi connection" only works with an iOS or Android device. It's basically the same as using Bluetooth.
It's an awesome camera that would be great if you need to record the interior of your vehicle as well. Rideshares, other people using your vehicle, company vehicles, delivery vehicles, etc. I just decided that it's not what I want, and I can't return it because I bought it on EBay, so I'm just trying to recover some of what I spent.
